Toothpick Puzzlers

Logical Thinking this week came from Aims Education Foundation

Puzzle 1: Make 2 squares of different sizes by removing 2 toothpicks.
Puzzle 2: Make 3 identical squares by moving 3 toothpicks.
Not sure if we did it right, but this is what we came up with!

Science Experiment

Last week in science class we were learning about the solar system. This week we have been studying about the sun and the power of the sun's rays.
Our experiment was to see if we could melt chocolate using the sun's rays and a magnifying glass.
The challenge got a little bit more difficult, as Damon, Noah & Liam tried to eat the experiment rather than watching it melt!
So far so good! The boys chalk it up to one very tasty experiment!

Trampoline Accident

Last week Little Noah was jumping on the neighbor's tramp...
You know what happens next...
He fell off and broke his head!
Noah got about 8 staples put in his head!
Can't really see much of the staples because of the Neosporin we put on the bandages.
Daddy decided to shave his head. As if Noah wasn't in enough pain as it was!
Daddy's buzz haircut!
Staples come out this weekend!

We Bought A House!

February 21, 2012 will always be an important date to our family. It is the day we closed on our new home. To celebrate, our realtor Mailia brought us a special treat!

Valentine's Day

Along with our Valentine's Day Exchange, we made some Valentine Sugar Cookies. Yummy!

Can I have one please?

Valentine's Day Exchange 2012

This year for Valentine's Day, I was able to organize a group of Homeschooling families here in Utah to do a valentine exchange. It was a lot of fun! Each family sent valentines in the mail to other families.

Here is one of the bowls full of candy that we received.
